Terms of Service
Last updated: November 3, 2026. These terms are between you and Aleksandr Kozlov, trading as OTDeck, Yerevan, Armenia ("we").
1. The software
OTDeck is a desktop workbench for MQTT, Modbus TCP/RTU and OPC UA for Windows, Linux and macOS, with an MCP server for AI agents. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use it under the plan you have: Free, Pro or Team.
2. Engineering tool, not a safety system
OTDeck is a tool for engineering, commissioning, integration and diagnostics. It is not a safety system, not a SCADA or HMI, and must not be used for process control, safety functions or any function whose failure could cause injury, death, environmental damage or damage to property. Machines, processes and people must be protected by their own control and safety systems, independently of OTDeck.
Reading from and writing to industrial devices can change how a machine or process behaves. You are responsible for every read and write you or an AI agent you connected perform with OTDeck, for having the authority to access the devices and networks you connect to, and for following your site's procedures (for example permits, lock-out and change management). Mark live systems as production in OTDeck and review every write before you confirm it.
3. Plans
- Free can be used for any purpose, including commercial work, with the limits shown on otdeck.com.
- Pro is a one-time purchase for one person, on up to 3 of that person's devices. It includes updates for one year. After that year, every version released during it keeps working for good; renewing gives another year of updates.
- Team is an annual subscription per seat. Seats can be assigned to members of your organisation and moved between them. When a subscription ends, its keys stop working after a 7-day grace period and the app falls back to Free.
Paid keys can be activated online or offline (with a request and a response file). Online activations are re-checked from time to time; the app keeps working offline between checks for the period shown in the app.
4. Purchases
When sales open, OTDeck licences are sold by Polar (Polar Software, Inc.), our reseller and merchant of record, whose buyer terms apply to your purchase. Team subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel; you can cancel at any time and keep the seats until the end of the paid period. Refunds are described in the refund policy.
5. AI agents
The MCP server is read-only unless you enable writes. If you enable them, you decide which tags, registers or nodes an agent may change, and you remain responsible for what it does. AI agents can be wrong; never let one act on a production system without a person checking.
6. Acceptable use
Do not share licence keys outside the plan you bought, circumvent the licence checks, or use OTDeck to access devices, networks or systems you are not authorised to access.
7. Changes and availability
We may change features and these terms; material changes are announced on otdeck.com or by email. OTDeck works without our servers.
8. Warranty and liability
OTDeck is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any damage arising from the use of OTDeck for process control or from reads and writes made with it, including downtime, production loss, damaged equipment or lost data, nor for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to what you paid for OTDeck in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia. Disputes go to the competent courts of Yerevan, Armenia, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring them where you live.
